Some of the best places to collect rocks in Alabama include the areas around Tuscaloosa, Ashland, Rockford, and Alexander City. You can also pan for gold and gems at the Alabama Gold Camp. You’ll find many different rocks and minerals like agate, petrified wood, quartz, jasper and garnet at these locations.
